XII Ukrainian musical Olympiad “Voice of the Country”, which will be held on November 15-19, 2017, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Yevhen Stankovych, the outstanding Ukrainian composer and Hero of Ukraine!
Yevhen Stankovych is an outstanding composer and central figure in contemporary music of Ukraine, author of 6 symphonies, 12 chamber symphonies, operas “When Fern Blossoms” and “Rustici”, six ballets, a large number of oratorio, chamber-vocal and instrumental works, as well as music for 6 performances and more than 100 films. Yevhen Stankovych is Hero of Ukraine, People’s Artist, Winner of the Shevchenko National Prize, Academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, Professor, Head of the Department of Composition of the National Music Academy of Ukraine named by P.I. Tchaikovsky
